Dozens of Christian families have been forced to flee from homes in a village near Lahore, Pakistan after a pastor in the village was accused of blasphemy against the Prophet Mohammad. Pakistan’s controversial ‘Blasphemy Law’ can carry the death penalty if a person is found guilty in a court of law.

The pastor has denied the accusations, and has said that he said nothing derogatory about Islam or the Prophet Mohammad.

Some local teachers from the village school had asked Christian students about the religious teachings of Pastor Masih. More than 100 of the students were sent home, which caused the Christian families to be alarmed, and many of them decided to flee from their village.

You can find out more about this story here: http://www.worldwatchmonitor.org/2013/09/article_2700036.html/.

Please pray for these Christians and for the pastor who has been accused. Pray that the Lord would strengthen them during this time of uncertainty. Finally, pray for their safety in the upcoming days and weeks.

Thank you for being One With Them!
